Abomination

Pro 29:27  An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

What is an abomination to God may be accepted in a sin darkened world. Popular slang uses words such as "wicked", as something good and desirable. The idols of the people may be actors and actresses, sport figures or other cultural heroes. They may be pleasant to look at or admired for their skills but often they are not wise or good moral role models. What is good to God is not seen as good to the wicked. When being wicked is called good, we have division and conflict.

abomination: a disgusting thing, abomination, abominable
  1. in ritual sense (of unclean food, idols, mixed marriages)
  2. in ethical sense (of wickedness etc
Woe to a people who choose evil.

Isa 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isa 5:21  Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Isa 5:22  Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
Isa 5:23  Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Isa 5:24  Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Often the wicked are liars and they see this as normal. Do not believe a liar but watch what they do. Their actions will show you what they are. Even those who say they follow God, their actions show who they really are. May our walk and our talk be together to honor our Lord.
