Is Jesus Lord?

How important is it to call Jesus Lord? Well, it may be the evidence that you are his. It is an evidence of the presence of the Holy Spirit within you. There are many religions and most of them claim to be the "true" religion. Most of them worship a God or gods. They have great debates about why a religion is the true religion. People who have come from seminaries that have "higher thinking," now doubt many things in the Bible. Experts are on television discussing if Jesus really said what was in the Bible. Was the Bible altered by Rome and the Catholic church? All this erodes their confidence in the Bible. All these religious "thinkers" are basing their facts on opinions and what other men have taught.

The Bible is true, I believe it all. There is a true witness of the Bible. A person who understands and testifies to the truth of God. He testifies that Jesus is Lord. His name is the Holy Spirit. God is one God manifested to us in the Bible as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God the Son who was sent into a  human body to provide our salvation through his shed blood on the cross and his resurrection and ascension to the right hand of God the Father. When Jesus was about to ascend to the Father he spoke of his return with the Holy Spirit. You hear some say that the three are separate entities, three gods, but in truth they are the one God, and God is Spirit.

John 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.

John 14:15  If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.
John 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever,
John 14:17  even the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:18  I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.
John 14:19  Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye behold me: because I live, ye shall live also.
John 14:20  In that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Jesus would send the Spirit of truth and he said "I come unto you" Jesus is one with the Holy Spirit and God the Father. Where one is, all are together. The Spirit of truth testifies of all that God the Father and God the Son speak. The Spirit never speaks of himself.

Many are religious but only those who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour have the Holy Spirit. There are tests to see if you are of Jesus. No man can call Jesus Lord without his Spirit.

1Co 12:3  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

If you do not have the Holy Spirit you may be the most intelligent and persuasive person, able to explain away every word in the Bible, but you are not saved by Jesus and without faith in Jesus you will not go to live with God forever.

Rom 8:6  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Rom 8:8  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

2Co 13:5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Ye must be born again of the Holy Spirit.

John 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Yes Jesus is Lord and I trust in him, having been sealed by the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus move in hearts of unbelief and reveal yourself to them. My friends who are not yet sure of who you are, may you be real to them and Lord may they make you Lord of their lives. Not just a teacher or a guide, but Lord God the Son.
