Trust in the LORD

Pro 3:3  Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

Pro 3:4  So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.

Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Pro 3:6  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Pro 3:7  Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.

Pro 3:8  It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

We must know that the LORD God created us and all the universe. He is  creator in the past, He is in the present and he knows the future. He loves us, so we can trust Him. All that we see in nature with it's design and beauty, he made. Believe in him.

Heb 11:6  And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

There is also an evil devil, a fallen angel who entices us in our thoughts to do what is evil. Trust in God who is our creator and judge of what is right and wrong. He sent Jesus to show us the way we should go.

Pro 3:7  Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.

Trusting in the LORD God will give you wisdom and keep you from going the wrong way.

Bitterness or Forgiveness

Heb 12:15  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Heb 12:16  Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Heb 12:17  For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

There is a bitterness brought about from remembering some past wrong.  We are to forgive, otherwise that bitterness will defile those around you and separate you from God.

Esau was a rugged man who sold his birthright for a bowl of stew.  A generation has sold their godly heritage for the lusts of the flesh; even Communism.  Some have gone too far and cannot find their way back to God. They end up feeling rejected by their own choices.  If you feel rejected come to Jesus who offers you a better choice for a life more abundant and everlasting..

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

My Heart Shall Not Fear

Psa 27:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psa 27:2  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Psa 27:3  Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Psa 27:4  One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

Psa 27:5  For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Psa 27:6  And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

The Secret of the LORD

Psa 25:11  For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

Psa 25:12  What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Psa 25:13  His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

Psa 25:14  The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Jer 31:31  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Mat 26:28  For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

The secret of the LORD is a mystery revealed.

1Timothy 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Unto Thee, O LORD

Psa 25:1  A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

Psa 25:2  O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Psa 25:3  Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Psa 25:4  Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Psa 25:5  Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psa 25:6  Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Psa 25:7  Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

Unto Thee O Lord

The Good Shepherd

Psa 23:2  He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

Psa 23:3  He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Jesus is our Good Shepherd. Jesus gives us rest and water for our thirst.  He leads us in paths of righteousness. He will never cause us to sin or to be overcome by the enemy.

Mat 11:28  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

A good shepherd is known  by his sheep.

John 10:10  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 10:11  I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John 10:12  He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.

John 10:13  He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

John10:14  I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,

John 10:15  just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

The Good Shepherd laid down his life for his sheep and has taken it up again. That is God's  power and protection. Fear not , but trust in the Good Shepherd, trust in Jesus who has overcome the world. The world has become crazy, He is the way, the truth and the life...John 14:6,

He Leadeth Me.

Prophecy of Jesus on the Cross

Psa 22:15  My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Psa 22:16  For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Psa 22:17  I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

David by the Holy Spirit spoke of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  This was the greatest act of love and obedience. The Holy One without any sin, died on the cross to pay for our sins.  No other man could do this, for all other people have sins.

John 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

The Son of God came down from heaven, became a man so that he could shed his blood for the payment of our sins. And yet many go there own way refusing to receive the free gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life in God's kingdom. There is no other way to heaven, but broad is the way that leads to destruction.

The LORD Liveth

Psa 18:46  The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

These words are sung in a lively hymn.

I Will Call Upon The LORD

The LORD lives, continuously and forever. We enter eternity with Him through the sacrifice of His Son. Jesus is my rock. He is the cornerstone of his church.

Mar 12:10  And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

Mar 12:11  This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Blessed be the rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

The Psalm refers to a crag, cliff or rock. The stromghold of Jehovah, of security. Through Jesus we enter into the security of Jehovah, our hiding place.

A young woman who suffered much abuse told me how that her soul would be safe in the Hiding Place of God. No matter how difficult this life may be, there is the security of the Rock, or refuge. In him we live forever where their is no evil.

Foundations

Psa 11:3  If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

The foundations refers to moral and ethical foundations. In the United States our foundations, morality, belief in God are different than our nation was sixty years ago.

The Ethan Allen Institute published the Communist goals for America from 58 years ago

Communist goals for America 58 years ago

In order to get a better understanding of our storm clouds, let’s exam a few of the 45 Communist, and by extension Socialist and Progressive, goals that have been read into our Congressional Record:

  1. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
  2. Get control of the schools and teachers’ associations. Soften the curriculum.
  3. Gain control of all student newspapers.
  4.  Infiltrate the press.
  5. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and pictures.
  6. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and press.
  7.  Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in the media.
  8.  Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy.” 9. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion.
  9. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principal of “separation of church and state.”
  10. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate and old-fashioned.
  11. Discredit the American founding fathers as selfish aristocrats [and racists].
  12. Belittle American culture and discourage the teaching of American history.
  13. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
  14. Infiltrate and gain control of big business and unions.
  15. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as mental health or social problems.
  16. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
  17. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.
  18. Repeal the Connally Reservation, allowing the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

The hope for America is to trust God and build on the foundation of God's laws. We are to make our foundation Jesus Christ, the rock of our salvation.

Mat 7:24  “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Mat 7:25  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

Mat 7:26  And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

Mat 7:27  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

The First And Last Adam

Psa 8:3  When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

Psa 8:4  what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

Psa 8:5  Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

Psa 8:6  You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,

Psa 8:7  all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,

Psa 8:8  the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

Psa 8:9  O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Gen 1:26  Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Gen 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Adam sinned and the devil took away Adam's dominion over the earth. The last Adam from heaven came as the son of man, a man without sin.

1Co 15:45  Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

Through Jesus those who trust in him are given back dominion. Jesus is Lord of Lords and king of kings. Every knee will bow to him.

Php 2:6  who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,

Php 2:7  but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

Php 2:8  And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Php 2:9  Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,

Php 2:10  so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Php 2:11  and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When we are with Jesus in heaven, we will be higher in authority than the angels.

1Co 6:2  Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?

1Co 6:3  Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!

How Majestic Is Your Name

Fruitful Trees

 Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

Psa 1:2  but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

Psa 1:3  He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

In this post modern age there are many wicked people who scoff at the truth and oppose everything that is good. We do not want to be with them; God has a better way for us. The Bible is his word to us so that we may know the right way. It is like refreshing water to our soul. The Psalm pictures people as trees planted by streams of water. They are healthy and fruitful.

We have irrigation canals in our area and alongside of them are trees growing. You know there is water because of all the trees.  This Psalm  describes people as trees. There are other places in the Bible  where people are described as trees.

Mat 7:15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Mat 7:17  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Isa 61:3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Let us be as fruitful trees planted by the LORD and watered by His word.

Show Us Some Good

Psa 4:6  There are many who say, “Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O LORD!”

Psa 4:7  You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.

Psa 4:8  In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Let's look at some of the good things shown to us in the Bible.

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Gal 5:23  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Gal 5:24  And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Php 4:6  do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Php 4:7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Php 4:8  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Joshua 1:9  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Psa 73:28  But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.

Kiss the Son

Psa 2:7  I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Jesus the eternal Son of God had a new beginning as Jesus; the Son of God and the son of man. God is spirit Jesus is God the Son come in flesh and blood, so that he could die as a man to redeem fallen mankind.

Psa 2:8  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

The heathen, gentiles or those who would believe in him along with God;s chosen people, the Jews. He would be King of Kings.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Psa 2:9  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

This prophecy shows Jesus at the end of our age as the conquering King. First he came as the Lamb of God, our sacrifice for sins.

Rev 2:27  And he shall rule them with a rod of iron...

Psa 2:10  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Psa 2:11  Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psa 2:12  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

He knows those who trust in him. Judas, one of his disciples would betray him with a kiss.

Luke 22:48  But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Send the rain to the burned land

The LORD has brought judgment to his people as correction.  Is what is happening in our land the LORD's judgment as he had done with Israel?

Jer 9:8  Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

Jer 9:9  Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jer 9:10  For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.

Mat 5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Mat 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Psa 147:7  Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Psa 147:8  Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

Psa 147:9  He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

Our land has been burned up with forest fires. We have been in a drought, but we know that rain will come. Our Summer is soon over and the smoke filled sky will be cleansed by the rain. I have seen the LORD's work before. When the water level was so low that experts said that it would take three years to fill our dam. In one season it rained and rained and once again our water supply was filled to overflowing. Send the rain LORD. The grass will grow and the birds and animals will be fed. Another request LORD; may this plague be over and may there be no famine in the land. Thank you LORD for your grace and mercy, Amen.

How Great Thou Art

A Song Of Praise

Psa 145:1  A Song of Praise. Of David. I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.

Psa 145:2  Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever.

Psa 145:3  Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.

Psa 145:4  One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.

Psa 145:5  On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.

Psa 145:6  They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness.

Psa 145:7  They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

We praise our LORD from a grateful heart. In the heart is a pump, pumping out the pure spiritual water from the deep.  If it is necessary to prime the pump, then meditate on these words. Out of the heart will flow the Living Water.

Jer 2:13  For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Pro 18:4  The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

John 7:38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

In the Morning

Psa 143:8  Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

The morning is the time to commune with the LORD. Make sure that you are connected, laying aside the cares of this world. The world is crazy and we need His peace and direction.

Psa 5:3  My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psa 5:4  For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

Psa 30:5  For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

The morning is as a new beginning. May you commune with your maker, pray, praise him and be ready to face the day with him; being aware of His presence.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Search Me, O God

Psa 139:23  Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!

Psa 139:24  And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

We inherited a sin nature from Adam. We are earthly and prone to sin. When we come to Jesus and are born again we have the Spirit of God living in us that cannot sin.

John 3:3  Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

If we are born again of God's Spirit, then we have a Spirit that cannot sin. Sin grieves the Holy Spirit.  We still have the flesh body with it's sinful desires. So we submit to God and walk in the Spirit and truth or the flesh with it's demands. The natural man tempted by the devil is at war with the Holy Spirit.

As David prayed that the LORD would show to him any impure thoughts and to lead him in the way that is everlasting.  The Holy Spirit searches the heart and it is up to us to follow that which is good. It can be a battle,

2Co 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

2Co 10:4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Search Me, O God
