Bitterness or Forgiveness

Heb 12:15  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Heb 12:16  Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Heb 12:17  For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

There is a bitterness brought about from remembering some past wrong.  We are to forgive, otherwise that bitterness will defile those around you and separate you from God.

Esau was a rugged man who sold his birthright for a bowl of stew.  A generation has sold their godly heritage for the lusts of the flesh; even Communism.  Some have gone too far and cannot find their way back to God. They end up feeling rejected by their own choices.  If you feel rejected come to Jesus who offers you a better choice for a life more abundant and everlasting..

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
