A Heavenly Home

Never has the world been so wicked as it is now. Our  nation's motto is "In God We Trust".  Is our nation trusting God. Do we have liberty and justice for all? Do our laws go against the laws of God?  Who will go to heaven? No one  will go to heaven trusting that they are a good person. We must have faith in Jesus Christ who died to remove our sins. Jesus must be master of our life.What does the Bible say?

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Whosoever believes in Jesus. Are you a whosever? Where there is life their is the opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ and to go to heaven.

The thief on the cross next to Jesus was not a good man, he came to believe in Jesus. He had no good works, only faith in Jesus and Jesus accepted him into Paradise.

Luke 23:39  And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

Luke 23:40  But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

Luke 23:41  And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

Luke 23:42  And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

Luke 23:43  And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus is preparing a place for those who trust in him.

John 14:1  “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

John 14:2  In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

By believing in Jesus you will have an eternal dwelling place in heaven.

Rev 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Can you hear what the Holy Spirit is saying? He that overcomes will eat of the tree of life. This alludes to Jesus himself, the life giver. He will give you eternal life by faith in him. What do we overcome? We overcome unbelief and false words. Jesus has the words of life.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Reconnected to God

Ignoring God and going our own way is the result of the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden. They believed the serpent who said  "you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” This to me is like "pro choice".  Before this wrong choice, Adam and Eve were innocent. The baby in the womb was safe and innocent until pro choice brought death to the innocents. Sin brings death.

Jesus came to forgive us our sins and to connect us again in fellowship with Almighty God.

 Isa 12:2  “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

Isa 12:3  With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

Isa 12:4  And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.

Isa 12:5  “Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.

Isa 12:6  Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”

People carry about guilt and their problems. Some are just too big for mans resources, but with God all things are possible. If we are reconnected to God by faith in the salvation of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and afflictions, we are passed from sin and death to life more abundant now and forever more.

Mothers and Wives

As a mother grows old, her outward beauty may fade but we remember her kindness and love for us. She will always be remembered.

1Pe 3:3  It is not fancy hair, gold jewelry, or fine clothes that should make you beautiful.

1Pe 3:4  No, your beauty should come from inside you—the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. That beauty will never disappear. It is worth very much to God.

A mother is also a wife.  From the heart of her husband her beauty never fades. When I was a young man playing the trombone in a band. We played an old tune and now that I am old, I understand it well.

Silver Threads Among the Gold

Darling, I am growing old,
Silver threads among the gold.
Shine upon my brow today;
Life is fading fast away;
Yes! my darling, you will be, will be,
Always young and fair to me.
Yes! my darling, you will be
Always young and fair to me.

Refrain

Darling, I am growing old,
Silver threads among the gold.
Shine upon my brow today;
Life is fading fast away.

Soon we’ll join the Shepherd’s fold,
There we’ll nevermore grow old;
Ageless with the saints on high,
Ne’er again to fade and die;
Cheeks abloom once more like month of May,
Eyes asparkle, fair as day;
For the Lamb has set us free,
Free to love eternally.

Yes, my darling, we will be

Always young and fair and free;
Shining bright in Heav’n above,
Resting in immortal love.

Jesus is the Lamb of God , who came from heaven as a perfect man to die for the wrong in you and me. You see this is how we know that life continues with those we love. By receiving Jesus our wrongs are forgiven and we live with God eternally. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Ask him to remove your sins and to teach from the Bible how to do the will of God.
