Send the rain to the burned land

The LORD has brought judgment to his people as correction.  Is what is happening in our land the LORD's judgment as he had done with Israel?

Jer 9:8  Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

Jer 9:9  Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jer 9:10  For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.

Mat 5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Mat 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

 Psa 147:7  Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Psa 147:8  Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

Psa 147:9  He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

Our land has been burned up with forest fires. We have been in a drought, but we know that rain will come. Our Summer is soon over and the smoke filled sky will be cleansed by the rain. I have seen the LORD's work before. When the water level was so low that experts said that it would take three years to fill our dam. In one season it rained and rained and once again our water supply was filled to overflowing. Send the rain LORD. The grass will grow and the birds and animals will be fed. Another request LORD; may this plague be over and may there be no famine in the land. Thank you LORD for your grace and mercy, Amen.

How Great Thou Art
