Ezr 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of
Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled,
the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a
proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
Ezr 1:2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Ezr 1:3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.
These exact words are repeated in 2Chron
36:22.
Jeremiah gave the time in exile for the Jews as to be 70
years. Isaiah spoke of a king by name, not yet born who would deliver
them.
Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that
formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth
forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Isa 44:28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall
perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to
the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
I will let you do a study of Cyrus on your own. There are two
things that I want to say. Cyrus was named by the LORD through the prophet
Isaiah 150 years before he existed. God knows the future. He had a plan for
Cyrus not yet born and he has a plan for you to accomplish. We must be sensitive
to the gentle small voice of God, from spirit to spirit he speaks, his will to
be done. follow the spirit. You will find fulfillment and will be a blessing.
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly
places in Christ:
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
