The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth

Psa 37:3  Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Psa 37:4  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Psa 37:5  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Psa 37:6  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Psa 37:7  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Psa 37:8  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
Psa 37:9  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Psa 37:10  For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

We are to commit ourselves to the LORD, obey him, trust him, delight in him. He will fill our hearts with goodness so that our desires will be for good to please him. He shall bring our desires to pass. People try to fill their lives with things and pleasures. Still many are focused on the evil in this world, but we are to delight ourselves in him, be committed to him. He will give us what we desire and in time the evil will pass away.

Psa 37:11  But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

When Jesus returns we will live on earth, a place where the Lord Jesus reigns in peace for a thousand years and then the judgement and a new eternal dwelling place will be ours, with God the Father and His Son.

Mat 5:5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Mat 5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

The people of God dwell in His peace in a troubled world that yearns for peace. World peace will only come when Jesus, the Prince of Peace returns. Commit yourself to him and be blessed. He is in control of our future.
