Strength to the Weary

Isa 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

To wait on the LORD is to actively seek Him. We wait until His power and direction is given to us. Meanwhile we continue to do the things He has given us to do. We mount up with wings as eagles, above the concerns of this life. We peacefully soar in the Spirit with the LORD. He takes us above the concerns of this life into heavenly places. As we do the things we know that he approves of, He gives us His strength. He blesses others through us, and we in turn receive his strength and blessings. He is our inexhaustible source of energy, better than vitamins. His presence with us can raise the dead, give life to the weary and overcome any weakness. He is our strength.

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

We shall run the race that is set before us and not tire. We leave our burdens at the cross. Sins can weigh us down; give them all to Jesus. Concerns of this life need not affect us if we continue doing the things he has called us to do. In Christ Jesus we are free and we dwell with Him in heavenly places.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Finally we are to walk in the Spirit and not faint. The Spirit is life and love.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

We soar as an eagle, we run and we walk across the finish line, by the Spirit we stay in the will of God, until we finish this life, even if carried across the finish line by like minded friends,  and Jesus welcomes us into His eternal presence. We live in and through him evermore. Now that is a better promise then any fairy tale and it is a never ending story. We live life more abundantly, now and forever more. Together with Christ we live happily, joyfully for ever after. There is no bad ending in Christ Jesus; only new beginnings and perfect peace in His presence.
