The Queen of Sheba

1Ki 10:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.

1Ki 10:6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.
1Ki 10:7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

There was no man wiser than Solomon until Jesus came. There would be no greater kingdom until the Kingdom of God comes to earth. The queen of Sheba came with hard questions, willing to hear the answers from Solomon. He exceeded her expectation in wisdom and glory. Many came to Jesus with hard trick questions to trap him, but he was wiser than they were, often answering with a question. Jesus spoke with authority even healing people, casting out devils and above all, he forgives sins.

People come to us with questions about Jesus, much like in his time, looking to deceive or mock or to preach another gospel. But occasionally someone will come to us asking a question and we answer him from God's word and they come to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The wisdom and grace of God through God's only begotten Son exceeds all expectations and his glory is as the Most High God. Come to Jesus for answers and for eternal life for he is our savior from sins punishment. In him we are forgiven and made the children of God.
