The Holy Highway

Do you want to go back to where you were before you began your journey in the Lord? There is no looking back, we are on a holy calling, on a holy way. When God's people come to Israel there will be new life and when Jesus returns all creation will be restored. His people will enter a new world where Jesus is Lord of all and the devil is locked up. This will be a time of great peace and because Jesus reigns there will be no infirmities of the flesh for the people of the nations and we shall return with him in glorified bodies.

Isa 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
Isa 35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

Isa 33:24 The people of Israel will no longer say, "We are sick and helpless," for the LORD will forgive their sins. (NLT)

The wilderness is blooming now, for underground is a supply of water that is being used to water over fifty farms, in what was once arid dry desert. Recent news has it that the reservoirs are low and that other water supplies are needed. When the Lord returns there will be water springing forth into the dead sea. Nothing can live in the salt of the dead sea, but this healing stream will bring with it new life. Some believe when Jesus comes, that when he touches down that a great river will flow, from the breech in the earth, where a fault now lies. From this will flow life giving waters.

Ezek 47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
Ezek 47:9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

Isa 35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Isa 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.

This verse is repeated in the book of Hebrews.

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Heb 12:12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
Heb 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Out of the tribulation a people will come to the LORD, He shall bring vengeance on the evil of the world and set up His Millennial Kingdom.

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Isa 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

When Jesus walked the earth, he healed all manner of diseases. The rivers of living spiritual waters shall flow, then the blind shall see and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Physical healing and spiritual healing, restoration and salvation shall come with Jesus.

Isa 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

The lame shall leap like a deer. The rear legs of a deer are shaped like a Jack rabbits legs, for leaping and jumping. The power of God will be present for healing as when Jesus walked with us at his first coming to Israel.

Acts 3:2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
Acts 3:3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
Acts 3:4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
Acts 3:5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Acts 3:7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
Acts 3:8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
Acts 3:9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

The tongue of the dumb shall sing. This is a touch from God, healing, joy, singing! It happened before and it will happen again. It is happening in foreign lands where hope is small and faith is large. It will happen again when Jesus returns.

Mat 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
Mat 15:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Isa 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

In the habitation of dragons? Large serpents or dinosaurs? Other Bible translations use jackals in place of dragons; where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. What if the Lord creates friendly dinosaurs once again in the restoration? From hot arrid desert land, fit only for serpents and dinosaurs, would come water plants: grass, reeds and rushes.

Isa 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Rev 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

It is a higher way, a holy way,no evil may go this way; it is the highway of holiness, the way of Jesus. I am reminded of the song "Higher Ground".

" I'm pressing on the upward way, New heights I'm gaining every day. Still praying as I'm onward bound, Lord plant my feet on higher ground. Lord, lift me up and let me stand by faith on heavens table land, a higher plane than I have found - Lord, plant my feet on higher ground."

Do you want to go higher with our Lord? We are with him now in heavenly places; We shall be with him completely, in glorified bodies.

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Isa 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

We shall be protected from the lion, (devil) nor will any ravenous beast go there, it is a way of the redeemed. The entrance of the way is through Jesus, the final destination is the dwelling place of God the Father.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Isa 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

There is a future place for the redeemed of the Lord; we shall return for a thousand years to live on a restored earth with Jesus our king, singing songs of Joy! Joy comes out of tribulation. Some of these would be tribulation saints.

There was gladness for those returning from exile from Babylon. The word of God gave them joy.

Neh 8:17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
Neh 8:18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

We shall be with the Living Word on a restored earth. There will be abundant revelation with great peace and then satan shall be loosed at the end of the Millennium, taking with him many of flesh to destruction. After this will come our "New Jerusalem", our new holy ground, in the presence of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. There will be no more tears, no more sorrows, for we will be with our Lord, knowing Him as we are known.

Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

We are on a holy journey, there is no going back. Heaven awaits the children of God.

Holy LORD and Father, keep us on the highway to your kingdom. We do not belong in this world, but yearn for your kingdom. Jesus meet us as we look for your coming. Be gracious to your redeemed, forgive our sins and take our hand. We shall follow you all the way to higher places. Amen
