Fruit

Mat 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

Our old life was wild and common, we do not allow the old ways to take over the new creation. In Christ Jesus we are new creations, with new good fruit in our lives. If we pretend to be what we are not, we produce no fruit. What we do and say is the fruit of our lives. If we live as liars, we are only confusion, who can know what we are? If we seek and live in truth, then others will know we are of God, by our fruit and will benefit by our lives. A good fruit tree blesses many. If we do only evil, our fruit is the fruit of the devil.

Mat 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Mat 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

I have heard people say that satan is good, he loves me. No, this would be contrary to the nature and fruit of evil. Some have turned from God to satan because of something that happened to them. They ask, "why didn't God help me? If he is a loving God, why did he let me suffer so. I hate God," they then turn to satan. Oh foolish heart, do you not know that it was the fruit of satan that hurt you? Do we run to the source of evil? God is the source of all good. Perhaps he was not visible to you, but he kept you alive until this time of freedom. Thank God for life, He is the only true God, who loves you. Receive Jesus and be under his protection. Those who are not under his protection, satan may come against.

Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

It is so hard to control the tongue. James said:

James 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Hold your tongue, do not allow satan to use you to produce his fruit. You either speak for God the word of truth or you speak lies from satan. He came to steal, kill and destroy, often by using someone's unguarded words. Put a shield on your tongue, the shield of faith. Let your words be as Jesus, full of grace and truth, then your life and fruit will be a blessing to others.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

How is your crop doing? We will be held accountable for every idle word spoken and more importantly our behavior. I am seeing well seasoned men of God in their 70's and 80's who have a reputation of being godly and righteous, suddenly show that are become selfish and even cruel. One pastor friend with a lifetime of service kills himself leaving his wife and children heartbroken. Watch out fellow saints that we not become self righteous as the Scribes and Pharisees. We may be quoting scriptures and doing a ministry for the LORD, but our hearts may grow cold towards those we should care the most for. Our actions may betray a selfish heart. Keep my heart LORD; I love these fallen saints.

1 Tim 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

1 Cor 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

In visiting the Christian Chats, my spirit was grieved with all the rooms being filled with Pagans and other ungodly people trying to destroy the Christian faith. They selected certain scriptures, then applied human (and demon) logic to mock the word of God. No matter how many other verses were used to explain their question, it fell on blind eyes. They were there to destroy the Christian rooms. Every room was filled with them. Where will the true seeker find the truth today?

Prov 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
Prov 1:6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
Prov 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Many do not fear the LORD, but mock him and those who speak his words. Others think they know everything.

1 Cor 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
1 Cor 3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Their thoughts are empty glorying in their own shame. The Psalmist spoke of vanity:

Psa 62:9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

1 Cor 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
1 Cor 3:22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
1 Cor 3:23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

Don't glory in men or things for we are in Christ Jesus and he is God's and God owns all things. Our behavior should be as children of God who Christ has redeemed with his own blood. Do not trust in your own godliness or "pure" heart. Give God the glory and take care of your own before you go out to be a big name Christian.

1 Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Amen
