Commendable Character

My brothers and I, would often say witty remarks, sometimes with sarcasm, but it was never meant to hurt anyone.  Some may take a comment wrong, not as intended and feel offended or hurt. Of course we must be careful to not become offensive. We are at a time where so many say they are offended and they seek someone to blame. Perhaps we should look within and take our hearts to God in prayer?

Psa 32:1  A Psalm of David, Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Psa 32:2  Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Psa 34:13  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Another word used for guile is deceit. A deceitful person, conceals or misrepresents something. When the phone rings, anymore it usually  is someone seeking to deceive you, misrepresenting themselves to steal from you. It is iniquity.

In the Bible, Jesus calls out to a man with no guile, no deceit.

John 1:47  Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”

John 1:48  Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

John 1:49  Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

Because there was no hardness of deceit in Nathaniel, he was able to see Jesus as he is; the Son of God and the everlasting king of Israel.

Jesus loved the innocence of a child.

Mat 18:2  And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them

Mat 18:3  and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 18:4  Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

I will say this; be truthful and be kind and we will need the Lord's help to do this. When we leave his life and come face to face with Jesus will he say well done? He will if we have believed in him and received his promise of salvation.
