Things

Last night in a chat a few were left in a room and someone came into the room asking questions. I knew of this person who for years comes into the room asking questions and I am reasonably sure that he is a Buddhist. Those left in the room pointed him to Jesus. My answers were clear and true. Then a person in the room said to me "take a coffee break bud. He wanted to be the one to give the answers to this man. Well, I do not like being called "Bud". But that is no big thing. The man who wanted to witness alone was right. If you are in a room witnessing, it is best if it is one on one. The one who cares the most about the person should witness, if he is led by the spirit and knows the word of God. In my heart I knew this man was not going to be a Christian, because he has done the same thing for years. I left the man to witness one on one because I thought it was the right thing to do. I could have played the usual game of debating and showing who has the best answers. A cock fight does not win anything. Let everything be done in truth and in order. We do what is right following the spirit. Even in warfare, we are at peace with God.

Php 2:3  Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Php 2:4  Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Php 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Rom 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

1Co 1:27  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1Co 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Php 1:9  And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
Php 1:10  That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

I am needing to be in the things of God who has all wisdom and understanding and loves us deeper than we can understand. Do what is right, no matter what others say or do not say. We are to be led by the spirit and he is not pushy or divisive.

Haggai 1:1-14

The coming glory of God's house

Hag 2:1  In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

Another time given of a prophecy. It has been around 2 months since the first prophecy and a month after the work on the temple had begun.

Hag 2:2  Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,

He was speaking to the governor the high priest and now also the remnant.

Hag 2:3  Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

A question? Are there any alive who saw the temple of Solomon 70 yrs ago? How do the temples compare?

Ezr 3:12  But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
Ezr 3:13  So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

The historian Josephus said the new temple was about the same dimension, but only half the height. It was 60 cubits high, whereas Solomon's temple was 120 cubits high and Solomons temple was covered with gold. The holy of holies was overlaid with 600 talents of gold. A talent was 75 pounds. This alone was worth over 30 billion dollars at today'
s prices. Ezra did not have the wealth that Solomon had.

Hag 2:4  Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
Hag 2:5  According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

Be strong and work, for I am with you. The LORD is with his people to help them do his work.

Deu 31:23  And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Rom 8:31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

"my spirit remaineth with you"

Zec 4:6  Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Hag 2:6  For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
Hag 2:7  And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
Hag 2:8  The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.

"I will shake heaven and earth"

Heb 12:25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
Heb 12:26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

"The desire of all nations shall come"

desire; desirable, pleasant, precious, goodly

Jesus is the desire of all nations and through him they would be blessed.

Gal 3:8  And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Gal 3:9  So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

"Silver is mine, and gold is mine"

Psa 50:10  For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Psa 50:11  I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
Psa 50:12  If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

Php 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Hag 2:9  The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

Jesus, the Messiah, would come and preach in this temple, that had been enlarged by Herod. The glory is not the temple, but the Christ who entered the temple.

John 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The people are defiled

Hag 2:10  In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
Hag 2:11  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
Hag 2:12  If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
Hag 2:13  Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
Hag 2:14  Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

Promised blessing

Unclean things defile, and touching something with something holy does not make the unclean clean, under the law. But what of spiritual things? Will laying on of hands make an unclean person clean? How about an anointed cloth? Can it make something unclean, clean? Can the Lord save? Can he make the unclean clean if they confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is the savior? Jesus touched people, healed them and even forgave sins. Do we have this power in his name? I believe so, because it is the work of God, not a thing or just a person. No matter how much work you do for God, it will not make your sins go away. Building the temple would not undo years of sin, but believing in the Messiah and God's promises would result in deliverance.

Jesus healed and forgave sins

Luk 5:20  And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
Luk 5:21  And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
Luk 5:22  But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
Luk 5:23  Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
Luk 5:24  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
Luk 5:25  And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

Be careful about relying on an object or an ikon for salvation. These may be a reminder of Jesus or a point of faith, but it is faith in Jesus that saves and heals.

Act 19:11  And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
Act 19:12  So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Believe that Jesus is able

Mat 9:27  And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
Mat 9:28  And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Mat 9:29  Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Mat 9:30  And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

How often do we see young people who get with the wrong people and they are corrupted, leaving the church. So many young Christians are sent to colleges with ungodly teachers who teach them that their faith is a myth. The unclean can corrupt the clean, we must be aware of this. Our eyes watching unclean TV programs or things on the Internet can corrupt our minds We are to remain holy and draw close to God especially with so much deception and delusions in our nation.

Heb 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Life is not a game, but a war. We are to fight the good fight of faith.

1Ti 6:11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1Ti 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

The law cannot save you, nor an icon, an object or a ritual. A temple or particular church will not save you. Your sins remain until you come to Jesus and his healing saving blood that was shed for our sins. Salvation is of God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

ReCreation

Our trip to the ocean at Crescent City was about recreation...not only in activities, but also in thoughts and in vision. Where do we go from here? It is good to have someone going along with you, my wife and daughter accompanied me. A mosaic was on the outside of a restaurant at Trinidad pier. It was very well done. The creator had a vision of what salmon could look like as a mosaic, using colored tiles the vision became a reality. He did not quit but completed the project. Our vision may not include all the details, but if we get an idea and begin and do not give up, the vision will be a reality.

Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Two Jellyfish, made from iron. A clever sculpture and unusual. It fit into the ocean environment, but if someone was not familiar with jellyfish, it would have little meaning.  I do not see this as an object of worship. Our gifts may be accepted or not understood. Go in the direction of the fulfillment of your purpose.

Lev 26:1  Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

Two dollar store kites make a simple  connection with the wind and a bit of fun with my daughter.  When the wind died down the kites fell. When the spirit (wind) leaves a life the spiritual life has gone. LORD keep me in your spirit.

Luke 23:46  And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Crescent City harbor docks have been recreated and made stronger to withstand future storms. The storms of life are to make us stronger if we have a vision and do not give up.

1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1Pe 1:7  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1Pe 1:8  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
1Pe 1:9  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

The ocean rock looks to me like an eagle. I call it eagle rock. I wonder if others have seen this too?

Php 2:19  But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
Php 2:20  For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
Php 2:21  For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
Php 2:22  But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.

Watch and go

A blood moon taken on the night of the blood moon eclipse, only I didn't stay up to see the moon turn bloody; I made the picture and then Photoshop made it appear as real. Are we taking the easy way? Are we faking our walk with the Lord?

Act 2:19  And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Act 2:20  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
Act 2:21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Is your walk with the Lord real? Or are you just manipulating things to appear to be in his will? Walk on the path that God has for you and be careful not to bump your head on a branch.

John 15:2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Along the way something is watching. A young deer hides in the brush. Are we hiding too?

Job 34:21  For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
Job 34:22  There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
Job 34:23  For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

From the pond bridge the water is yucky, like it was full of yellow pollen, that could be, and it is not pretty. This could illustrate the filthy sins of the world or a stagnant pond that is life without God, a life of ones own making; a mess. Sometimes the LORD must correct his people as in Jerusalem of old.

Eze 24:12  She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.
Eze 24:13  In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.
Eze 24:14  I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.

Nearby the Sacramento river flows with living waters. Always flowing, it is a delight to see.

Jer 2:13  For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Are you easily discouraged? Does a twig block your way and you are too feeble to pass by? We have many excuses, but only one life to live to fulfill God's purpose for us.

Isa 35:3  Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Isa 35:4  Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Isa 35:5  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Isa 35:6  Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Isa 35:7  And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Follow the road to life more abundant and pay attention to not stray from the path.

Deu 5:32  Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
Deu 5:33  Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

Your life is to be lived on the path that God has opened up to you, so keep going.

Jer 6:16  Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Isa 30:20  And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:
Isa 30:21  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Your path

You will face many obstacles in your Christian walk.

Rom 16:17  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
Rom 16:18  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Heb 2:1  Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Heb 2:2  For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
Heb 2:3  How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Sometimes we must go through things that hinder our way.

2Co 12:7  And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
2Co 12:8  For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
2Co 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2Co 12:10  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

There will be green pastures ahead as the Lord leads us.

Psa 23:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psa 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Venture out in the deep and find someone with a like mind to go with you.

Mat 18:18  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Mat 18:19  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Overcome Hindrances

I was able to attend a local event; a men's conference that was useful to me, so I will share a little with you. To continue in our journey we must realize and remove things that block our way.

Gal 5:7  Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

Some of the things that block our progress are: the world and the news, discouragement, unbelief, things from the world, vain imaginations, weight and stress, afflictions and past hurts.

We are to cast these things down and follow the Lord.

Php 2:16  Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

We are to choose life and serve the true LORD God.

We are to keep our eyes upon Jesus

We are to commit ourselves to God

We are to be consistent, not quitters.

YOU DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO SAY NO WHEN GOD SAYS YES.

Expose the secret dark things that hinder you. Shine the light of truth on them.

Finally make a list of all the things that have hindered your spiritual life, past hurts, rejection...name them all and write them down on a piece of paper. At the men's meeting we each one nailed our hindrances written on paper to a wood cross. You can just throw your list in the trash or burn them. Recognize your hindrances and put them away.

John 8:36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Ministry Partners

Having lost my dear friend and ministry partner, Earl. I really have no one of like mind that will go with me to various places to minister. We really do need to be connected, not only with friends of like minds in Christ, but also the older with the younger Christian.

The apostle Paul had ministry partners, Barnabas and Silas were his partners at different times. Mark had flunked out, being unable to endure the hardship of ministry, but in the end he was one of Paul's faithful ministry friends. Paul had a special ministry with young Pastor Timothy. The experienced apostle sharing with the younger man of faith. Paul's letters to Timothy show the wisdom of Paul to the younger minister.

2Ti 2:1  Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 2:2  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
2Ti 2:3  Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Read the whole Chapter

Paul was all about saving the lost and making disciples. This is also the goal of our ministry. We can minister alone, but it is better to have another of like mind and vision to minister with you. We do not grow in the Lord only to wither up and blow away. Holy Spirit blow on me, and on those wanting your life giving spirit. Flow out living water, not to drown in sorrow, but to bless others with the life of Christ in them and the hope of eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus. Amen

Best Friends

Only once in a lifetime, from beginning to end,
God provides a person who's a real, true friend.
There may be many others come into your life,
Some close enough to become husband or wife.
Only God knows the far reaches of your Soul,
While most others are just playing a role,
Acquaintances who are maintaining a stance
To benefit themselves, if they get the chance.
They are indifferent and only pretend
That they are someone on whom you can depend.
And relationships stagnate because love isn't there,
They are shallow and weak because
they just don't care.
Then a different kind comes into your life.
Who is not meant to become husband or wife
This is one whom God selects and sends
Into your life so you may become best friends.
Whose only interest in whatever you do
Is just in being a good friend to you,
This is one in whom you can always confide,
And you don't have anything you have to hide.
This is a person who radiates God's love
In a Friendship that's ordained from Heaven above.
And no matter what happens, from beginning to end,
Is content to be what God sent, A friend.

A complacent church

The sea lions had made it up onto the docks and to the sidewalk. Their expressions reminded me of the attitude of the church of wealth and prosperity, the Laodicean church. They show a false pride.

Rev 3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

A lazy bunch asleep in the warm sun.

Rev 3:15  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Eph 5:14  Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Just bored with it all.

1Co 15:34  Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Many were gathering in the sea trying to make it to the salvation of the docks. Like the sea of humanity. many seeking the way, but few find it.

Psa 104:25  So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

Psa 139:9  If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Psa 139:10  Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Who will show them the way to salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ? What effort will you make to show them the way?

John 4:35  Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Belonging

In Revelation 2 and 3, seven types of churches were listed and discussed by Jesus. I want to be part of a church body that Jesus favors. There were two churches that Jesus liked most: Smyrna, the persecuted church and Philadelphia, the loving evangelic Church. I prefer to be in a loving evangelical church, a witnessing church that proclaims the whole truth of God's word. There may not be a denominational name on this church, but it represents a spiritual and an actual gathering of believers. We love God and people and want them to come to Jesus and to be saved from the coming wrath of God on those who oppose him; the wicked and the ungodly. Revival begins in the heart of the one seeking it. These verses in Galatians speak to me personally

Gal 6:4  But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
Gal 6:5  For every man shall bear his own burden.
Gal 6:6  Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Gal 6:7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:8  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Gal 6:9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Gal 6:10  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Jesus said to work while it is still day. Persecution will come so let's make the most of the freedom we have to love one another; loving God with all that we are. Showing love, preaching God's word, and witnessing that we want others to have everlasting life with Jesus, this is my goal. To reach the goal of God's purpose on our life, we must not be looking away from his truth. Stay focused on Jesus.
