A complacent church

The sea lions had made it up onto the docks and to the sidewalk. Their expressions reminded me of the attitude of the church of wealth and prosperity, the Laodicean church. They show a false pride.

Rev 3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

A lazy bunch asleep in the warm sun.

Rev 3:15  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Eph 5:14  Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Just bored with it all.

1Co 15:34  Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Many were gathering in the sea trying to make it to the salvation of the docks. Like the sea of humanity. many seeking the way, but few find it.

Psa 104:25  So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

Psa 139:9  If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Psa 139:10  Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Who will show them the way to salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ? What effort will you make to show them the way?

John 4:35  Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
