Enter the Promise Land

Num 14:36 And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,
Num 14:37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.
Num 14:38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.

Twelve princes of the twelve tribes of Israel were sent to spy out the promise land. They saw that it indeed was a land flowing with milk and honey. The LORD told them to go into the promise land and that he would be with them. The LORD allowed ten of the princes of Israel to die because they were unfaithful and sowed panic and fear among the tribes of Israel. They thought themselves as inadequate and called themselves grasshoppers, for there were giants in the land. Two princes, Joshua and Caleb brought back a good report and were ready to go into the land.

How often we fail because of fear and unbelief. The LORD has told us to do something, but we feel unworthy or make excuses. He is not pleased with our lack of faith. Listen, it is not faith in self or self confidence that he wants you to have. The world values self. He wants you to trust in him and allow him to work through you. We are to die to self and walk in the spirit obeying what he says. Timing is important, for God must be in it, or it is only self effort, a pitiful substitute for walking in his anointing of His spirit.

After Israel missed their opportunity, then they decided to go into the land. The LORD said, no, I will not be with you. An entire generation missed God, all but Joshua and Caleb would wander in the desert until all were gone.

Num 14:42 Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.
Num 14:43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.

A new generation would go into the promised land, led by the two men of faith, Joshua and Caleb. Before we send an army to fight for our nation, we need to seek God and his will. If God is not in it they will fail. Antichrist spirit is overtaking many, but we are not to fear. We are to stand on the promises of God and we are to do what we are led by the spirit to do. Be like Joshua and Caleb. The LORD spoke to Joshua.

Jos 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
