Pierced for our sins

We all have suffered spiritual attacks on our heart, on our body or our souls. These may have been the fiery darts of the devil. We have an enemy who wants to hurt us, to kill and to  destroy us. Jesus is the Savior, He is the power of God to overcome the devil.

He took our piercings upon himself

The prophecy of the Messiah on the cross.

Psa 22:15  My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
Psa 22:16  For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Jesus on the cross was already dead when he was pierced by a sword

John 19:33  But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
John 19:34  But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
John 19:35  And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
John 19:36  For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
John 19:37  And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

The resurrected Christ

John 20:19  Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
John 20:20  And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
John 20:21  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
John 20:22  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
John 20:23  Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
John 20:24  But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
John 20:25  The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
John 20:26  And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
John 20:27  Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
John 20:28  And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
John 20:29  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

The prophecy of his return

Rev 1:7  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Jesus will reign on the earth and Israel will receives their Messiah

Zec 12:10  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

The Spirit of grace and supplication poured out by Jesus upon those convicted of their sins.  Jesus, the Son of God and Jesus the son of man, from the lineage of king David. The Messiah has come to reconcile fallen humanity back to fellowship with Almighty God. He loves you and gave his life for you.

Rev 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
