Ears to hear

On a walk I spied a cat, that was watching me. The shadow reveals a deep secret in his heart. We all have hidden things that need to be seen in the light; some good things, some not so good. We have within us God given gifts to be used for the purpose he has given to us. We must overcome the darkness of sin and fear and walk bravely in the light.

Dan 2:22  He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
Dan 2:23  I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee:...

Mat 13:34  All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Mat 13:35  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

The cat, like us, has ears to hear. I like to use my ears to play and arrange music. But we have spiritual ears as well. Some do not hear in the spirit. The best hearing is spiritual, the hearing from God.
The eyes are for seeing, good things and also dangerous things to avoid. We have spiritual ears to hear God and this from the Bible and prayer. The favorite part of the cat is the mouth, to eat. I hear cats in the night making terrible sounds like babies crying. Some hear things in the night, even voices, but we are to learn to hear the voice of the Lord and to speak his words.

Isa 33:13  Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
Isa 33:14  The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Isa 33:15  He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
Isa 33:16  He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
Isa 33:17  Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

This bunny statue in a church garden has big ears to hear and perhaps she is teaching her children right and wrong. This is why we must have good spiritual ears.

Psa 132:8  Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
Psa 132:9  Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
Psa 132:10  For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
Psa 132:11  The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
Psa 132:12  If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
Psa 132:13  For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
Psa 132:14  This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

Mar 10:13  And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
Mar 10:14  But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Mar 10:15  Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Mar 10:16  And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
