Pray Always

Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

We are to pray always, non stop,

1 Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
1 Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Th 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

communing with the Father with all prayer and supplication IN THE SPIRIT.

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

We pray in the Spirit and the Spirit carries our prayers to the Father through our Great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We are to ask in Jesus name.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

All our supplications, our needs, our wants, our asking and are intercession for ourselves and for others we take to Him. Watch, stay awake and alert in the Spirit, with all perserverance, do not quit, do not give up, keep going. Pray for all of your brothers and sisters in the LORD, and for those who teach or lead you, that they may be bold. We need bold teaching and preaching of the word of God.

Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

2 Cor 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 Cor 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Cor 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2 Cor 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Cor 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
2 Cor 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

LORD help us to speak your message at the opportunities we are given. Be ever close and be our strength, my God. Help us to overcome the flesh and the devil that hinder our walk with you.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We must be in Christ Jesus, our Lord and savior, or we have no power to resist the devil. We cannot have second hand faith or speak someone elses sermon as our own. We must have the power of the Holy Spirit through the new birth in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus knows his sheep and the devil knows who are real or pretenders.

Acts 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Acts 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
Acts 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

The flesh is no match for the devil. We must have God's Spirit to overcome him and the word of his authority. Religion will not overcome the devil, only Jesus has overcome him, by the finished work on the cross. We must go to that cross daily and walk in His Spirit, praying in the Spirit without ceasing.

Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Mat 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

There are many in power, serving the devil in high places. Their time will come and they will be eternally in the Lake of Fire, if they do not repent.

Eh 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Our prayers will hinder the power of Satan. Pray for God's will and righteousness in high places.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

We are the family of God in Christ Jesus, amen.

Hey Gary, does this refer to the Tribulation or now?

The power was shown in the apostles . Remember Paul was bitten by a serpent and shook it off unhurt into the fire. The power is from God, not of flesh; so if God is in you through faith in Jesus Christ and His Spirit guides you, you will do what God leads you to do with his power. We are not to tempt God by doing foolish things. His power is in Jesus for you to overcome all spiritual battles.
