Signs of Spring

I love to see the flowering Quince blooming. They are one of the first plants to bloom giving hope for the coming Spring. They grow wild, but these were planted along our fences by Gramma many years ago; another memory.

Isa 35:1  The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. 

Isa 35:2  It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. 

Isa 35:3  Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 

Isa 35:4  Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. 

Isa 35:5  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 

Isa 35:6  Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 

Isa 35:7  And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. 

Isa 35:8  And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. 

Isa 35:9  No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: 

Isa 35:10  And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. 

This time of the year the gulls show up at the park waters. They hope to get some bread from me, but I came to the park on the way home from the store; no bread. This is a Ring - Billed Gull. 

 We can learn from these birds. The gulls landed on the fishing dock where I stood with camera. It is important to be in the right place when an opportunity comes. The gulls were in pairs reminding me of the Bible story of feeding the 5000 where Jesus had the people sit in an orderly fashion.

Mar 6:38  He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. 
Mar 6:39  And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. 
Mar 6:40  And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. 
Mar 6:41  And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. 
Mar 6:42  And they did all eat, and were filled. 

The gulls had gathered expecting food. Do we look for opportunities to be served? It is better to look for work and then look for opportunities to serve.

Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 

Rev 3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 

The ducks pair up, for it will soon be nesting time and new chicks will be born. 

Pro 18:22  Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. 

Spring is coming and we finally had a day of rain for our unusually dry rainy season. We need more water, for all living things must have water. Our spirit must have the water of God's word in a dry and thirsty land.

Psa 63:1  A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 
Psa 63:2  To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. 
Psa 63:3  Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. 
Psa 63:4  Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. 
Psa 63:5  My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: 
Psa 63:6  When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. 
Psa 63:7  Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. 

Psa 63:8  My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

The Spirit of Truth

  

God is truth and holiness. The spirit of a liar is unholy and ungodly.  

 

John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:14  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
John 16:15  All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

 

Jesus is showing that he is God the Son from heaven, saying that all things that the Father has, are his. They share all things. He has all the glory of the father. Absolute truth, love, all powerful, the creator and much more. He differed from the Father in one way, he took on the form of a human and was born of a woman so that he would make the way to God the Father  through faith in Jesus being our sacrifice and savior from our sins. Before Jesus came no one could stand in the presence of God.

 

1Ki 8:10  And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
1Ki 8:11  So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

John 1:17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:18  No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

A skeptic will say if Jesus were equal with God then why did he say that only the Father knows the end time?

 

Mar 13:31  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Mar 13:32  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Jesus as a man put aside all the perfection of God to become a man.

 

Phil 2:6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself. (NIV)

 

As a man he showed us how we hear from the Father; through scriptures and by prayer. God the Father did not want us to know the exact time of the end. Jesus only spoke what the Father said through him. I believe that Jesus knows all things now because he has returned to be one Spirit with God. The Holy Spirit remains here on earth to bring truth, through those who are born again of the Spirit of truth. As humans we know in part, as we seek his will and his way. 

The Holy Spirit gives to us from Jesus and God the Father the truth that is to be revealed and the power of God that is to be released. We could not grasp all that God is in our human understanding. Truth is given to us in ways that we can understand. We are still sheep and children to the Most Holy God. We are growing into his likeness through Holiness and truth.

 

1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Unbelievers believed the lie and crucified the Lord Jesus Christ. This was his purpose to come and to pay the price for our sins. Now we who believe in Jesus have access to his truth. The enemies of God are still with us but they cannot defeat God's plans. We are joint heirs with Jesus Christ. This life is only to prepare us for eternity. Jesus is the only way to God. He is the truth of God and he loves you. amen.

Glory and Honor

1Ch 16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
1Ch 16:27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
1Ch 16:28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
1Ch 16:29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Acknowledge the LORD in truth.

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Worship and praise him as HE IS

Jer 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

Give to him praise for His glory, honor, gladness, and strength.

Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Thank you LORD for your judgments and mercy thank you for Jesus to take away our sins, thank you for your love that surrounds us and your comforter who abides with us; your truth and your guidance. Thank you for faith to see you, to glory in you, and to believe in you. Thank you that we overcome this world through you and that we will abide with you forever because we trust in Jesus our savior.
