Regeneration

Tit 3:4  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Tit 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6  Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Tit 3:7  That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

It was the love of God that gave us our saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Not by our efforts, but by his righteousness in our place, by the washing of regeneration...I think of a generator that produces electrical power. Regeneration is new power given by our rebirth into God's family. We are born again of His Spirit and dedicated to his service. We were bought with the price of the blood of our saviour, redeemed from the devil, bought, paid for, by the blood of the Lamb. We receive new life, behold all things become new. We are renewed, made new by the Holy Ghost. We are justified, judged by God the Father as not guilty of our sins because the blood of Christ has covered them. By believing in him we were made new by our Father in heaven. We receive grace, favor not earned, and the great treasure of being joint heirs with Jesus who is heir of all things and above all things. Shout Hallelujah!
