Jesus is Lord

As I came out of the post office this morning, there were two Jehovah witness women with Watchtower tracts. The older woman asked if I would like a message about God? I said to her "Jesus is Lord". She replied, oh no he is not, Jehovah is LORD. He is the son. I insisted that he was the Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God who sits on the right hand of the Father. The Father and the Son (Lamb) will be the light of the kingdom to come. After a few more words she said you need to read your Bible. I left them, but the other woman looked a little shaken. There are so many distractions in the nation; atheists, activists, liberals and Muslims and a press that is hostile to Christian values., Will we join them? No way, we must speak up for Jesus. What does the Bible say? Is Jesus Lord?

You must confess that Jesus is Lord to be saved.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

You cannot work your way to heaven. All people have sins.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You must be born again of the Holy Spirit.

1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

We do not honor God to say that his son is not the Lord.

Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Joh 8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
Joh 8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
Joh 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Joh 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Joh 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Jesus is the Living word that was with God creating the worlds. The Word is God.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

If you know the Father, you will know the Son. The cults pretend to serve Jehovah, but do not believe.

Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus is Lord and God

Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

I believe that Jesus is Lord and God.
