Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Joh 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Joh 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

People will be convicted of sin, some will believe, but many will not believe in the savior of the world.

Joh 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

The Holy Spirit continues to show us all things that Jesus said. This is for correction, rebuke, conviction and for our good works.

Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Lucifer is judged and condemned. He is the father of lies and sin. All his works are judged and condemned by the laws of God. If we are not in Christ, then we are condemned with satan. Conviction of sin leads us to repentance. Judgment is to understand right from wrong. There is little judgment in the world, but where judgment is, there is the spirit of God.

If there were no law, there would be no sin. If Jesus had not come to save us from the wrath of God, there would be no righteousness. Righteousness is in Jesus Christ. We are found in him by our faith and the work of God. There is no law keeping that will make us righteous, only by being covered by the blood of the Lamb are we righteous. Those who are not in christ are judged already and condemned, because they have not believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. The world hates Jesus and his messengers, because they are the children of the devil. When God touches their hearts and removes the veil from their eyes and they seethe savior and are born again of his spirit, then they become the adopted sons of God. Whose son or daughter are you? Have you the conviction and reproof of God? The Holy Spirit is gentle, so let his gentle heart be seen in you.
