Your Calling

1 Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1 Cor 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

We are chosen of God, out of the world, to be in Christ Jesus. His flesh being was made unto us, so that we may receive of God and be made one with him in His Spiritual image.

1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
1 John 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Phil 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Phil 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

wisdom; supreme intelligence, such as belongs to God

He is made unto us wisdom, because He has declared the father's words. He showed us the wisdom of God in answering questions and in teaching. When he left he sent us the Holy Spirit, to be our teacher and our contact with the wisdom of God.

righteousness;

a) the doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of God
b) integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting

Jesus is our righteousness; the son of God without sin. In him we are declared righteous. We cannot earn the righteousness of God, for we are sinners. Jesus paid for our sins and we became as he is, accepted as righteous, by grace.

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

sanctification; We are holy and pure unto the Lord and set apart to His service.

1 Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
1 Th 4:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
1 Th 4:5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
1 Th 4:6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
1 Th 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

redemption; we were bought with the price of his shed blood and death; released by payment of ransom.

a) redemption, deliverance
b) liberation procured by the payment of a ransom

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Let us hold onto all that Christ has given to us, so that we will be like him.

1 Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
amen
