Sing Majesty

Isa 24:14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
Isa 24:15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

Those who have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and have received forgiveness of sins shall lift up their voice, and sing for the glory and majesty of the LORD. "Majesty, worship His Majesty, unto Jesus be all glory, honor and praise." We sing this now, but I believe the church will be remove before the tribulation. There will be people saved during the tribulation, including the 144,000 anointed from Israel. The LORD would choose these witnesses and anoint their minds by the Holy Spirit and the word of grace. They will be singing praises in the midst of tribulation.

Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

The sea, is used metaphorically, as the sea of humanity; they shall cry aloud, from the sea, and it can mean the lands bordering the sea.

Isa 24:16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

The LORD will be glorified by His people throughout the world, but the antichrist Beast, will persecute them. They will not be able to buy or sell and they would be hunted and killed. Many martyrs would come out of the tribulation.

Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Suffering and persecution has always spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. May we in good times be faithful to him and witness to others.

1 Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Isa 24:17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
Isa 24:18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

The inhabitants of the earth, are those who would not receive Jesus as savior. These are the unredeemed. They will not be able to escape the judgment of God. Those in Christ are even now with him in heavenly places.

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Isa 24:19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
Isa 24:20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
Isa 24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

Isa 24:22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

The hosts of the high ones that are on high, refers to the fallen angels. They will be locked in the bottomless pit with satan for a thousand years, at the coming of the King; the Lord Jesus Christ. God's good angels will return with the saints. They shall destroy the unrighteous and gather the children of faith.

Isa 24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

The powers on earth will be replaced with the power of God. The saints will rule and reign with the Lord.

2 Pet 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2 Pet 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2 Pet 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2 Pet 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Jesus will reign and restore the earth to it's original design. As Adam and Eve lived almost a thousand years, we shall see the earth in it's restored beauty for a thousand years, before the New Jerusalem comes down. We live by faith and hope for his soon return. It is my hope that the Church will be caught up to meet Jesus before these times of tribulation come upon the earth. We shall miss the wrath of God and return with Jesus to a beautiful earth and then a glorious heaven. No time for self pity, we have too much to praise God for. Glorify him now exalt the Lord of Glory!

The Key and the Nail

Isa 22:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:

Isa 36:3 Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah's son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph's son, the recorder.

Both Shebna and Eliakim were servants of Hezekiah. Shebna's heart was directed towards selfish ambition and glory, but Eliakim's heart was turned towards serving the king.

Isa 22:21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

Shebna is unfaithful, the LORD will remove him from his office, strip him of his authority, and give it to Eliakim. The LORD shall cloth Eliakim with his robe. The robe of God is his righteousness, his covering and protection. The priests were given robes to serve in the temple. The girdle or belt was given to priests or high officials. The LORD was making him as a father, loving and caring for the people of Judah. He was given as a faithful servant, not for his own selfish interests. The LORD sets up powers and removes them.

Isa 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

The righteous Eliakim as the steward of the house of David, was a type of Jesus, as spoken in Revelation 3:7.

Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Rev 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

A key represents authority. Authority was given to Peter and the apostles and to those who Jesus chooses to have authority. We must be a faithful servant to be given his authority. His authority is his presence and power.

Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Eliakim as the steward of the house of David, was given the authority and responsibility delegated to the name of King David. Authority is power. Jesus shared authority and power, in his name, with his disciples.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Luke 24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Jesus gave the Holy Spirit to his born again disciples, with power and authority to accomplish his work. If we have no power, we are operating in the flesh, in our own power. We are to submit all to God, to be used of him. Not to manipulate or pretend to be what we are not. Eliakim had proven himself by faithfulness to the king.We are to be faithful stewards to King Jesus.

Nails and Vessels

Isa 22:23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.

Eliakim shall be given the key of king David (vs 22) and the LORD will make him well known before the people, because he was faithful. A metaphor is used, of him fastened as a nail, in a sure place. He was firmly established.

Isa 22:24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.

He shall bring glory to his father's house and his offspring shall be blessed. the vessels shall hang upon him, from the small vessels, those of humble people and also vessels of flagons, the skin storage bottles, the more honorable vessels. Each held secure by the honorable service of Eliakim. We are held in honor and respect because of our trust in Jesus, the one who was nailed securely to the cross, to atone for our sins. We are vessels for the masters use.

Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Rom 9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Isa 22:25 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.

This applies to the wicked treasurer, Shebna, in verse 15. The LORD was sending the invader to take him away, rolling him away as a ball.

Isa 22:18 He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house.

If Eliakim is a type of Christ, then Shebna could be a type of Judas Iscariot. He was given authority but he used it for self glory; he betrayed his master's trust. The nail of authority, was removed from him. He would be destroyed. We must be faithful and not fall into the temptations of the world, for we have been given the authority of Christ to do his work. We are to nail our selfish ambitions to the cross and put on the robe of righteousness to follow our Lord Jesus in His service. His authority is given to us to do his will. The nail keeps us one with Christ, our old flesh nature was nailed with Jesus to the cross. We are given the keys of his authority.

When my oldest brother was president of a mobile home factory, he gave both of his brothers a key to the gate. I was just a young man working as a laborer in the factory, but the key gave me permission to return at any time to work on personal projects. I used this authority to make things for other people. I paid for the materials but provided the labor free. Jesus paid for the keys of authority; what will you do with the keys that Jesus has given to you?

The Sin of Pride

Isa 16:6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.

Moab's sin was pride. Although they were a small nation, they were judged because of their pride. God does not like people to be full of pride and to not honor him in all they do. The prominent movement of pride that comes to mind is "Gay pride," that which is abomination to God, some people call pride.

Ezek 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Ezek 16:50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Psa 10:4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
Psa 10:5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
Psa 10:6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.

Prov 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Prov 8:14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
Prov 8:15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
Prov 8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
Prov 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Isa 16:7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
Isa 16:8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.

The Moabites took great pride in their vineyards, but God used a people to break them down, and to destroy everything Moab took pride in. Even though this prophecy was given before the judgement of God, pride kept them from hearing and changing their hearts. How many do we witness to who will not hear our message, because of pride in something else. Even pride in their rebellious hearts?

Prov 13:10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Prov 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Prov 16:19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Jer 48:29 We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
Jer 48:30 I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
Jer 48:31 Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres.

What do we have pride in? Is the Lord the center of all we love and do?

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 Cor 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.1 Cor 16:14 Let all your things be done with charity.
1 Cor 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
1 Cor 16:16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
1 Cor 16:17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
1 Cor 16:18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

Isa 16:9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.

God takes no pleasure in punishing transgressors. He understands our sorrow and weeps in the spirit with us.

John 11:35 Jesus wept.
John 11:36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

The blessings of Moab were removed because of their pride and because they worshipped false gods.

Isa 16:10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.

No more good harvests and joyful feasts, I the LORD have caused it to cease.

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
James 4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Isa 16:11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.

Bowels refers to the tender feelings and affections.

Phil 1:8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

Phil 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
Phil 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

The LORD will mourn as the strings of a harp play gentle soothing music.

Isa 16:12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.

Moab will pray in their pagan altars and seek their own help and it will be for nothing. Just as the afflicted in our land seek the government and are critical, instead of seeking the LORD for strength and guidance.

Isa 16:13 This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.
Isa 16:14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

Isaiah announces that the LORD had said that in three years these things would come about. They were told ahead of time so that they were without excuse if they did nothing to change their ways. Mighty Moab will be reduced in number and their land ravaged. They would be small and feeble.

Jer 48:11 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
Jer 48:12 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.

He gives warnings, and time to repent, but if no repentance comes he will bring His wrath. Like America, they always had their ease and were never invaded. The thought of the Moabites as being as fine wine, the longer it sits, the better it tasted, until wanderers come, probably a nomadic tribe from the east who would uproot them and destroy their vineyards. There is a mistaken idea in our land that God is only love and all is grace. Grace is towards those in Christ Jesus who follow him in obedience. We hear always of the goodness and the blessings of God, but what of his righteousness against the stubborn sins of a nation? So be the promises and wrath of God on those who will not come to him. All other paths lead to destruction.

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

The Four Falls of Lucifer

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

In context we are talking about the king of Babylon, a type of satan, but it can be applied to lucifer as well. Fallen, kicked out of heaven, sort of like Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden. The king of Babylon did the work of Lucifer, and both were at times used by God who is supreme, to judge a people. O Lucifer, bringing light, son of the morning. An angel of light, so beware of angels who speak to you, for they may be with lucifer.

There are four falls of Lucifer.

The first fall was from a sacred position in heaven to the earth, something that happened before the fall of Adam and Eve.

Ezek 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezek 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Ezek 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Jesus referred to this fall:

Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

The second fall, satan will fall from having access to heaven.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The third fall, he will be cast in the bottomless pit during the millennium and released at the end, to deceive many.

Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

The fourth fall the devil, Lucifer, will be cast into the lake of fire, to be tormented forever.

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

I Will

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

The beast will sit in the temple, filled with the devil, in the end times.

2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

This was the fall of Lucifer, exalting himself as God.

Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Isa 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Satan was not a man, but the false christ was a man. We the saints will see him cast into the sides of the pit and we will say it is justice. We shall judge the angels with Christ Jesus.

1 Cor 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
1 Cor 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Isa 14:17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

When the king of literal Babylon fell, his weakness was exposed and others were amazed that he once had so much power, and so many feared him. The same will happen when the king of spiritual Babylon falls. People will see him for what he really is and be amazed at how much power he actually had.(Guzik)

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We need not be afraid of the evil ones. Stay close to God and speak with the authority of his word. All will be judged through Jesus by his word. We are in Christ Jesus appointed as kings and priests with authority.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Rom 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

The Day of the LORD

Isa 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
Isa 13:7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

Belshazzar and his nobles were feasting when destruction came upon them. This was at hand, but actually was more than a hundred years in the future. God's time is not our time.

Dan 5:2 Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.

Dan 5:5 In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Dan 5:6 Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

Ezek 21:7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.

Isa 13:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

The nation will be taken by complete surprise. They would be as helpless as a woman travailing in birth. Their faces would darken, red, yellow, whatever the appearance of one in deep anguish and fear.

Isa 21:3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
Isa 21:4 My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.

The Day Of The LORD

Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

From the coming peril; to Babylon of old, we shift to the end time Babylon. The world's way must give way to the LORD and His righteousness. The beast will rule and all the nations shall worship him. The people of God will suffer persecution and be martyred. When Jesus returns he will send his angels to destroy the sinners.

Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Rev 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Rev 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.

Jesus is the Morning star coming from the East.

Praise the LORD

Isa 12:1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

In that day, when the Lord Jesus Christ comes, God's anger will be turned from the sinner. Jesus has come, he himself took our sins and wrath upon the cross and has risen in triumph, to rule and to reign. We are in him, through faith in his finished work on the cross. No longer does God's anger and wrath come upon us. Jesus is our rest and peace with God.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Psa 33:1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
Psa 33:2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Psa 33:3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Psa 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Psa 33:5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Hab 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Phil 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Phil 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Phil 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phil 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Jehovah Jesus is our salvation. Through faith we receive his grace and are translated into the kingdom of God.

Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

By his stripes we were healed. By his taking our sins upon himself, we receive the love of God for his son. We are forever indebted to the Son. Our life resides within him; we cannot live apart from him. He is our life and reward, our salvation and strength, our glory and rejoicing.

Cry out and shout

Isa 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

We must come to the Living Word who gives the living water. We must first drink of the water of His word, trust him, and by faith receive his salvation.

Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
John 4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
John 4:12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
John 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Isa 12:4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

In that day, the day the Lord returns; praise the LORD and glorify him.

Psa 104:2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Isa 12:5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Isa 12:6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Psa 95:1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Psa 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Psa 95:3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
Cry out and shout...
