Eze 6:10 And they shall know that I am the LORD, and
that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

Strike your hand and stomp thy foot, the LORD means what he says and the
prophet must sound like he means it too. Get their attention, look alive!
Eze 21:12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it
shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be
upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.
Eze 21:13 Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord GOD.
Eze 21:14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.

Isa 5:25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

They must face his correction, but the nation is still his people. Those who punish Israel and enjoy it, would be punished themselves. We should never seek our own vengeance.
Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
