Eze 8:12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou
seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the
chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath
forsaken the earth.
Eze 9:9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of
Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city
full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the
LORD seeth not.
Isa 29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD,
and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
Isa 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
Eze 8:13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.
Eze 8:14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Tammuz was a Sumarian god of food and vegetation
Eze 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S
house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and
the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of
the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward
the east.
They had their backs to the temple worshipping the sun to the east. Israel
was warned not to do this.
Deu 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest
the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be
driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto
all nations under the whole heaven.
These in the temple had turned away from the God of Israel and were worshiping a sun god. It is foolishness to say that those who worship today across the
land on Sunday, that they are worshiping the sun! Sunday worshipers worship the SON, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus
Christ. If a group is vegetarian, are they to be accused of worshiping the god Tammuz? Those who turn their backs on God and worship man made images, or man
made religious things are in error and subject to correction. Jesus is the
center of our faith and those who get off center bring division when we are to
be in unity. Put aside the false worship and examine your own heart. Are you truly faithful to Jesus?
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:
who can know it?
Eze 8:17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
The branch to the nose I understand to be an arrogant gesture. Putting the
branch to the nose was an idolatrous act, showing contempt for God and all He
stood for.
Psa 26:6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine
altar, O LORD:
Psa 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are
the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk
in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Eze 8:18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Mic 3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he
will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves
ill in their doings.
When and how we worship is not as important as who it is that we worship.
The LORD knows our hearts. He knows if we pretend to worship God in spirit and in
truth, but are instead worshipping other things. Self correction is better than
being corrected by God. What is most important to you? Will you stay with God or
follow another god to destruction? If it comes to survival in this flesh life, will you leave God for food and shelter? He promises to care for us if we put him first.
