Man's Devices

Pro 19:21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Device: a contrivance, an imagination, a plot, an inventiion

Devices of man, the opinions of men; science and philosophies, that change with time. False beliefs given as truth. These are the times we live in. It is a political parties truth, that is not accepted by another political party. Progressive ideas that stray from the word of God. Your truth and my truth. Everyone has a truth, but can all be different and the truth?

1Ti 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:


Pro 19:27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.

Anything that causes the word of God to not be followed is from evil.

Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Now hear from my heart: The schools of higher education, such as Harvard were established so that people would be educated to understand the Bible and to teach the word of God. Now, every major secular place of higher education is in rebellion against God's truth. The nation seeks to spread democracy through higher education. Education being their salvation. What are the philosophies in these schools? they are usually the opposite of the culture. God fearing democracy has become humanistic communism or socialism. Is it any wonder then, that a young man or woman that is educated in these places of higher learning, that they are against the very things our nation was founded on? We began as a nation of God fearing people seeking freedom of religion. We are becoming a nation not seeking God, leaning after other lesser gods and slavery to sin. We must return to God and the Holy Bible.The truth is with Jesus, the Living Word.

Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Devices of man have no place in the life of a Christian or in the church. I see on Christian TV sometimes manipulation using the devices of men, using the word of God deceitfully for their own purposes. Truth is not by manipulation. Lord help us to trust in you and the word of God and not our own devices.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
