Shades of Grey

Grey is the absence of color, although grey is often called a color. In black and white photography there are shades of grey. A grey scale shows shades of grey from black to white. Spiritually there is a right and a wrong, truth and lies, good or evil. These are opposites as is black the opposite of white. Most live in the murky grey of compromise. When I rededicated my life to the Lord I was in a church that taught that there is good and evil and that we are not to mix them up. Without Jesus we would be lost in the murky grey of sin.

Rom 3:19  Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Rom 3:20  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Randy the wounded goose stands before the grey of the pond. The pond is grey because the sky is grey. He watches the ripples caused by a gentle wind. The Greek word for spirit is pneumos, meaning wind.

John 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:8  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

We have a blue Jay called the Scrub Jay. It has blue feathers and a grey breast. A bluish grey is called a cool grey. Grey with hints of tan are called warm greys. The Lord has made good use of colors. Most any color goes with grey.  Grey or gray is the same word. The KJV Bible uses the spelling "gray". Old people have gray hair.

Pro 20:29  The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head.

The Robin has a grey top and a red breast. He is a warm grey color. My hair used to be a reddish brown, but I noticed a few years back that the barber started putting gray hair on the floor. Was he getting it from a bag just to trick me? We will all get gray if we live long enough. I am still young in spirit. Jesus keeps us young.

Late harvest

The last of the garden is harvested. I pulled up the pepper plants and the tomatoes are all through. Persimmons on the tree are bird food now. The lemon tree has fresh lemons and some that were left from last year are still on the tree the size of oranges.

I see the harvest of souls in our nation like this late crop. Some refuse to come to Jesus and are under the wrath of God, the birds devour them like the last persimmons. Some do not know what they need. Some are in addictions or just too much entertainment and cannot see the need, rotting on the vine. Others are family members with hardened hearts like a winter squash. These we pray to God for their souls to be harvested. Some in the church are looking for a great revival. If the church will be ready and be active in witnessing then the last of the crop will come in. I do not see a harvest field, but Jesus said it is ready for harvest; look up, he sees and will guide us to them.

John 4:35  Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Our prayers are needed to bring the last of the harvest to Jesus. Perhaps we should also be seeking the ones who have fallen back into the world?

Luke 14:23  And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

The devil will send his drones out to confuse the fruit and to block our way. Recognize this and use the sword of God's word; keep going and keep the faith.

Luk 18:7  And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
Luk 18:8  I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Psa 40:3  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Psa 40:4  Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Proverbs - the wicked

I would apply these proverbs to the direction our nations is going.

Pro 11:2  When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

Pro 11:9  An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

Pro 11:29  He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

Pro 12:7  The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

Pro 12:13  The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

Pro 12:15  The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Pro 12:19  The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Pro 12:22  Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

We are to repent and ask for forgiveness for ourselves, our nation and our leaders. Pray for peace and the LORD's direction.

A deceiver

2 Sam 15:1  And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
2 Sam 15:2  And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
2 Sam 15:3  And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
2 Sam 15:4  Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
2 Sam 15:5  And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
2 Sam 15:6  And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

Absalom was out to steal the kingdom away from his father David. He was young and handsome with a full head of hair, He was friendly and he hugged the people. Believe me when I say we must watch out for those who seek to win over people, seeming to care for them. We may be embracing the devil in disguise. Remember how Jesus was betrayed with a kiss.

People are so ignorant. A nation will elect a devil if he looks like he will give them something for nothing. People are moved by emotions, "I don't care what you say, I want to know that you care." Well, you had better listen to what is said and look beyond the pretending of a wolf who appears to love the sheep. We must  discern the spirits. Many choose leaders by appearance,  as when the nation of Israel chose Saul as their king.

1 Sam 9:2  ... Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.

Saul failed to obey the LORD and was rejected by him. I cannot understand how so many people will keep following a man who is a liar and who will say anything to appear to please the people, but will not follow God. This is a  false shepherd who comes to be one of us, but whose heart has an evil plan.

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
We must be careful, many sheep will cuddle up to an affectionate wolf in sheep's clothing. Examine the fruit, not just what seems to look good. A politician will win hearts by kissing babies, but his true plan is to kill them. King Herod wanted to know where the new king of the Jews was.

Mat 2:8  ...Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

His true intent was to destroy the child.  A politician will embrace illegal aliens to get more votes, but he will become a tyrant once his power is securred. The more we trust false words and false appearances, the more likely we will allow evil to take root. The false leaders will not keep the laws.

Prov 29:18  Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

If we follow people who will not follow God we all will fall.

Mat 15:10  And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Mat 15:11  Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Mat 15:12  Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
Mat 15:13  But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
Mat 15:14  Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Follow Jesus and be careful who you trust, there are many deceivers.

True Lies

False witnesses

In the news they repeat a lie over and over and the people believe it to be truth; this is how they shape public opinions. The greatest news event was that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. He said he would do so and he did overcome death and the grave. He gave us the sure way to eternal life. He is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6) This is the gospel, the good news. However, the news shapers were busy covering up the truth with an "official" news story. A lie to hide the inconvenient truth. Jesus arose from the well guarded grave on the third day as he said he would. The guards guarding his tomb by law would die if a prisoner escaped. Instead there was a cover up by a false account of what happened.

Mat 28:11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
Mat 28:12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
Mat 28:13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
Mat 28:14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
Mat 28:15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Pro 12:17  He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

Removing truth and righteousness is removing God from society. In the laws in Leviticus, sexual sins were not allowed. All the new laws supporting gay rights go against the laws of God. Television sitcoms and movies have shown that sex before marriage is normal. Every perversion is available to see or to experience through the Internet. Political leaders collect information on their opponents, even using the FBI, so that they may blackmail or accuse them. A ruthless leader could destroy the opposition or control them by digging up the files on their life style. The lie of evolution is taught as truth, removing God as the creator. Wake up people and return to the God of Christian America. Sure you can dig up sins committed by our fathers in the past, but they believed in God.The majority today do not know what to believe. I believe that the Bible is the truth of God. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to us in a human body, taught us, did many healings and miracles, and was killed on a cross for our sins. He was our substitute sin bearer and our atonement for sins. He did come out of the cave tomb back to life and there were many witnesses to prove that he did this. He is the way to eternal life with God, his Father. We become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ and that is the gospel truth.

1Jn 1:8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
