2Th 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord
may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and
be glorified, just as it did also with you; (NAS)
Often the word is hindered when it is shared. In the rest home service
someone will start talking loudly or make a loud sound. At other times, the word
is interrupted by someone with another message on their minds, usually something
negative. The word goes out but not all hear it. Prayer is needed so that the
word has a free course to be heard and understood. Pray for a hunger to hear the
word of God and that the word be sent with the power of the Holy Ghost and be received
with conviction with the fear of the LORD.
Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it
shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and
it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
As fishers of men our power is in the word of God. It is sent forth as a
net to bring in a harvest. It will not return empty (void). It may be sent out
as a sword to pierce the conscience and to bring someone to repentance. Oh LORD
God may your word go forth to accomplish your will and purpose.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and
the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the
world.
1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Pray and then send the word out to be heard. May the Lord get their attention.
