The Resurrection Body
For those who have loved ones who have died believing in Jesus, there is the hope of resurrection and eternal life. The Bible is quite clear about this wonderful promise.
1Co 15:42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable.
1Co 15:43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
1Co 15:46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.
1Co 15:47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.
1Co 15:48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.
1Co 15:49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
The first Adam was of the earth, a man of dust who sinned. Jesus, the second Adam is from heaven, a life-giving Spirit who never sinned. Come to Jesus who has removed your sin by his atonement sacrifice. He died and on the third day he arose to give to you an incorruptible inheritance.
1Co 15:54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

Who do we please?:
The dreaded meeting of Jacob and Esau turned out good. Esau tells his brother Jacob to follow him to his land in Seir, Jacob replies that you go ahead and we will catch up with you.
Gen 33:12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
Gen 33:13 And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.
Gen 33:14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
Gen 33:15 And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.
Gen 33:16 So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.
The land of Seir is on a mountain between the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba, south east of the land that was promised to Israel. Jacob instead, journeyed to Shechem that was in the center of what is now Israel.
Gen 33:17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
Gen 33:18 And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.
Gen 33:19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces of money.
Gen 33:20 And he erected there an altar, and called it Elelohe-Israel. ("the mighty God of Israel")
Jacob was the inheritor of the promises of God concerning a promised land. He returned to this place willed to him by the promise of God to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Once again he had deceived his brother Esau, but he was where he was supposed to be. Following Esau away from God's promise was not in the plan of God for him. Sometimes we must make difficult decisions. We may be tempted to go outside of God's plan in order to please someone else, but that is not wise. Our blessings come from obeying God. Did Jacob sin by lying to Esau? I think that any decision we make should be brought to the LORD. He may change our direction. He may speak to us in a dream or even words of an angel. We should take all of our decisions to the LORD for His final approval. We must listen and follow the LORD who gives us peace.

Communion Participation
1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
1Co 10:17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
The English Standard Version uses the word "participation" in place of communion.
1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
1Co 10:17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
We partake of the wine and the bread which are symbols or metaphors, with a deeper spiritual meaning. The wine represents the blood of Christ shed for the believer's sins and the bread represents the torn body of Christ, who was our substitute atonement for sins. The church is spiritually the body of Christ, actually the spiritual bride of Christ. He often talked in parables because people could not receive the plain truth.
Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Joh 6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Joh 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
Joh 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
Joh 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
Paul shares the story of the Last Supper.
1Co 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
This is for believers in Jesus Christ and not for ones who do not believe in him. Unless you believe, you cannot receive the forgiveness of your sins. He came to bring you to God the Father, for he paid the price for your sins. Come now.

O Lord give him faith.
We are living Lord, help us care,
We are living Lord, help us care,
We are living Lord, help us care...
O Lord, help us care.
I found this hymn in the Hymn Book, next to the hymn: Peace Like A River. Jesus gives us peace, love, faith and we are his friends when we do his will. He wants us to be friends to those we know and to invite them to trust in Jesus who will forgive our sins and give to us an eternal hope. You are my friend and friends help friends. In Jesus we are friends forever.

Encourage Yourself in the LORD
1Sa 30:1 And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
1Sa 30:2 And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
1Sa 30:3 So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
1Sa 30:4 Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.
1Sa 30:5 And David's two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
1Sa 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
David and his mighty men of valor returned to where they were staying and all had been burned with fire.Their women and children were taken captive by invaders. Our nation is burning and being looted by invaders from within. People are despondent and fearful. First the virus, now the destruction of our businesses and our finances.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Scriptures tell us to be a thankful people. David encouraged himself in the LORD. The LORD will encourage us in his word. Try reading the Psalms and singing hymns. David also asked the LORD what he should do? The LORD said for him to go and take the captives back from the enemy. This they did. Be thankful, encourage yourself in the LORD and pray for help and direction. Receive his peace with a grateful heart and be glad for what you have.
