A Crisis of Truth

Some people hang onto one verse like a bull dog and think it says something that is inconsistent with other verses about the same topic. I believe satan blinds them to the true revelation of the verse. If they persist in believing the verse isolated from it's context without reading all the other verses on the same topic, they form an erroneous conclusion. If they teach this error to others and convince others who are not with discernment, they become a cult to themselves. We need to be careful how we read the Bible and how we take something out of context and make it say what it is not saying.

A local church has a new pastor who has decided to eliminate instruments from worship and to sing new choruses a cappella. The church is an Assembly of God. The normal assembly of God has instruments and lively worship services. This church is like another denomination that does not believe that instruments belong in worship. This idea is contrary to the scriptures, unless you make one verse say more than it should.

Another friend believes that all people will be saved. He quotes one verse over and over, but ignores the multitude of verses that contradict this. He goes to a mainline church, and says the pastor agrees with him. What has happened in this mainline denomination to believe as a cult church?

Another woman speaks of a verse saying something and when shown several other verses that give different instruction, she will not hear them. The one verse is held onto. It was on a topic not that important to salvation, a matter of personal choice. What is not of faith is sin to you. Some things can be believed and not hurt anyone else.

I can get upset with all the errors of understanding, especially if they are teaching others that it is the way to go. The Bible should not be of private interpretation.

2Pet1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

If the word originated from God through the Holy Spirit, then to understand it properly you need the Holy Spirit to teach you what is said.

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

Do we see things in the Bible as a natural man? or through the Holy Spirit? We must allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the Bible truths to us. A lazy man will take one verse and make it say what he thinks it says. The true understanding of a scripture requires looking at the verse in it's context and comparing the verse with other verses of the Bible of the same topic.I am not saying that the Holy Spirit cannot reveal something about a verse without reading other verses that are of the same topic. Daniel interpreted dreams by the Holy Spirit. Others are given gifts of interpretation, including the interpretation of unknown tongues. These are special gifts. But, these gifts must agree with the Bible, not just one isolated verse, but the whole understanding from all the verses.

We must hear with Spiritual ears. The Pharisees mostly missed God, by the rejection of Jesus their Messiah. They had come to conclusions from traditions of men concerning the meaning of the scriptures. I am seeing errors in teachings in some of the mainline churches. We should not be silent when we see darkness entering into the thoughts and teachings in our churches. We are accountable to God to be Spirit led and Spirit taught. Even here we must check what spirit is coming into the minds and thoughts of the churches. My spirit has been troubled by what I am seeing, this is why I had to speak. I hope others will understand what is said by the spirit. Often words are not understood correctly. Long time friendships end by misunderstandings. While I am at it I will say one more thing.

There are those who seek the truth. Truth is very important to them. I am seeing another people in our land who live in delusions. They are given delusions from the LORD because of their rejection of truth. These people often use drugs and have other spirits in them. Our nation is in a crises of truth. Delusions are replacing the quest for truth. To remove truth from our nation, first the removing of God must occur and the ignoring of the Biblical framework of our nations foundation. I want to abide in truth. The people of God must walk in truth and not in some slipshod substitute. If the people of God no longer are the light and salt, then all becomes a delusion. Will you stand in the truth of God?

Jerusalem's Unfaithfulness

The LORD had caused Jerusalem to live, He had cleansed, ornamented, and anointed, that which was in misery and devoid of beauty. But Jerusalem had used all that Jehovah had given her in the service of her idols, and also to purchase the succour and the favour of the Egyptians and the Assyrians. She has had no idea of independence and of standing alone, leaning on Jehovah. She should be judged as an adulterous woman. Jehovah would bring against her those whom she had sought. (Darby)

Eze 16:15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

Isa 1:21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

Mic 3:10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
Mic 3:11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

Eze 16:16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.
Eze 16:17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,
Eze 16:18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
Eze 16:19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.

The LORD's blessings were used for spiritual adultery and selfish desires. The things meant to worship the LORD were used for false gods.

Hos 2:7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
Hos 2:8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
Hos 2:9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
Hos 2:10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.

Eze 16:20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,
Eze 16:21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?
Eze 16:22 And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

Jer 7:31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

Tophet: A place of fire

Jer 19:5 They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:
Jer 19:6 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

Eze 16:23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;)
Eze 16:24 That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.
Eze 16:25 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.

Jer 11:13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.

The city of God, where the temple was. The people were allowing every foreign god.

Eze 16:26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

They were relying on Egypt for protection instead of the LORD. The wasted the LORD's provision on their lusts, becoming as the nations around them.

Eze 20:7 Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Eze 16:27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.

The LORD would take away from their daily food provision.
Famine is a result of the LORD's judgement as well as many natural disasters that come to get our attention and to cause us to seek out and to trust God. The LORD is the one who prospers those who trust in him.,

Eze 16:28 Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

Jer 2:18 And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?
Jer 2:19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

They were trying to buy favor from Egypt and Assyria. Their lewd behavior was making the nations around them to judge them. Be sure that the unbelievers will hold God's people to a higher standard and be quick to point out their failings.

Eze 16:29 Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

Eze 23:17 And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.
Does sin ever fulfill you?

Eze 16:30 How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;

imperious : dominating

whorish woman : playing the part of a whore; unfaithful to God (speaking of the city of Jerusalem, it's people.)
Jerusalem as a self absorbed immoral woman, doing her own thing, not obedient to God. Fulfilling every lust and desire, but never satisfied. This describes many today in our nation who have no use for God.

Pro 27:20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Are we satisfied with life? Have we been more interested in our own desires then we are in obeying God. Do we stay close to God and practice the presence of the Holy Spirit? Prosperity can lead to spiritual idolatry, just as with those in Jerusalem. If we are as those who were under judgement then, how can we escape judgement now? In Christ Jesus there is no condemnation so let us stay near to him and continue to do his work for us, even if all the world is in decline.

3Jn 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

In the Spirit

Addictions

The devil is the driver, the pusher of the ones he possesses.
We call this behavior an addiction. Addicted to drugs, to alcohol, to pornography; they are compelled to sin and to fulfill the lusts of the flesh. If we are in Christ, we can have good addictions.

Addicted to being useful for Christ.

1Co 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1Co 16:14 Let all your things be done with charity.
1Co 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
1Co 16:16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

Pray in the Spirit

1Co 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
1Co 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
1Co 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
1Co 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

1Co 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
1Co 14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
1Co 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

We do not have to understand everything to be spirit led. The Spirit helps us even when we do not have words to say. He edifies and leads us by the will of God.

Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

1Ti 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Fruit of the Spirit

We must be connected to the vine, which is Jesus if we are to produce spiritual fruit.

Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

2Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We are to fear God and not be controlled by another spirit of fear and confusion. If a fear comes to you, speak the name of Jesus and receive power and a sound mind.

The Power of God in Old Testament promises

Pro 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Psa 37:18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
Psa 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Psa 37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
Psa 37:21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
Psa 37:22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
Psa 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Psa 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
Psa 37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
Psa 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Psa 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

As sons of God we are to obey the Holy Spirit.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Psa 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Psa 26:3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2Co 13:6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

We had better be sure of what we believe and follow God, for the days are evil.

A rerprobate is someone vile and evil. In Christ we are holy and sanctified unto good works. Rejoice and pray always with thanksgiving in the Spirit of peace. The just shall live by faith.

The Spirit of truth

The Spirit of truth leads in worship

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

The LORD will not be asking you what church you attended, but he will know if you made a connection with him by His Holy Spirit. We must worship in Spirit and in truth. We may fool others, but we cannot fool the Lord.

Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mat 7:24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Apparently they were not hearing from the LORD and doing His will when they did their ministry.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

1Jn 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Many cannot or do not want to hear God's message.

Born of the Holy Spirit is new life with God

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus is God, the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

2Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of  the Lord is, there is liberty.

The gentle spirit is also powerful.

Luk 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Luk 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Luk 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
Luk 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
Luk 4:15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

The Holy Spirit is the anointing of God to do his will.

Luk_4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

2Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

This is important for we often say we want to do something for God, but we can do nothing of our own power. We need the anointing power of God to do his work. The disciples were told to wait in Jerusalem until his power came down. This was the presence of Jesus in the believer. They spoke with new languages and spoke praise and preached by the power of the Holy Ghost. He was also needed before we can go out and teach the nations and bring them to Christ.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
Acts 13:3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
Acts 13:4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

The Holy Ghost is more than a feeling; he is the truth of God, the power of God and the spiritual fruit giver. Some are sent out before they have any fruit or ministries in their home church. Others are required to hold degrees in theology before they are sent. The Holy Spirit is the teacher. We are to read the Bible, pray, do his will now and then if called to some other ministry we will be ready, willing and he makes us able .

Led by the Holy Spirit

Resisting the Holy Spirit

Many claim to be Christians and yet they want all they can get in the world. Some are not even part of the body of Christ. To be sure we are His, we need to walk close to Jesus and be led by the Holy Spirit.

The religious may not be spirit led

Act 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

We must learn to walk by faith

Psa 78:40 How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!

Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

The Christian is to be led by the Holy Spirit. Some find it hard and turn away. Do not turn away. Our enemies are the world, the flesh and the devil.
Sometimes we will be persecuted, and we may have doubts and depression. These are overcome by faith. The LORD is our help.

2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Psa_4:3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

We must learn to encourage ourselves in thanksgiving and praise.

Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Being Led By The Spirit

I know that the Gentle Shepherd leads his sheep, but how does the Spirit lead? Let's look at how Jesus was sent to the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Mat 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Luk 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

Mark says it differently. The spirit is gentle as a dove, but He was driven by the Holy Spirit. That is more compelling than being led.

Mar 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
Mar 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mar 1:12 And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.

From this I see the Holy Spirit as being a gentle spirit and yet he can compel us to do something or not to do something. Jesus was sensitive to the Holy Spirit, but are we? Do we move when the gentle Spirit puts something on our mind? We need to learn to respond to his voice, being so in tune that every word we hear we respond to.

Rom_8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Rom_8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom_8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Gal_4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

2Co_1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

The Spirit sends us to be at a certain place for a planned meeting.

Luk 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
Luk 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
Luk 2:27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
Luk 2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Luk 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
Luk 2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

The Holy Sprit compels

Joh 4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
Joh 4:5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
Joh 4:6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
Joh 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

The Spirit compelled Phillip and supernaturally caught him away.

Act 8:29 Then the Spirit said unto Phlip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
Act 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
Act 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Act 8:40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

We must learn to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to obey even if it seems unusual or unconvenient. We do not want to miss God's direction for us.
